Shangrela Beach Resort by ARK

I really enjoyed my stay at Shangrela beach resort. I spent two nights here during my 3 week vacation and I have no complaints. The staff were exceptional, attentive, kind, friendly and always willing to help. I stayed in a family room with two double beds as I was supposed to have 3 friends staying with me, however due to illness they stayed at our volunteer house. The beds were extremely comfortable, sheets were clean, and pillows very soft! The facilities in the room were basic, however just what we needed. My only issue was the bathroom, there were a lot of ants, and one morning I woke to a very large spider in the bathroom, to which I had to get the staff to remove for me. There was a piece of mesh that covered a part of the window which wasn’t properly secured therefore was a way in for insects. Otherwise I have no concerns. It’s a great place for solo travellers, and for short stays. The location is perfect and a very short distance walk to the main high street, shop (keels- supermarket), ATM, mask museum, and across the road from the beach. Additionally less than 30 seconds down the road is a disabled turtle home, I visited here only first morning and got to see some of the turtles that are unable to be released back into the ocean, the owner discussed some of the concerns and showed genuine care for the animals. It was free to enter here and great to break up your morning. Finally I would like to add that the food offered within the menu was brilliant. All food freshly cooked and absolutely delicious!! cosy location for you to be relieved from the busy lifestyle and enjoy the calmness of the nature. Easily accessible by any vehicle. The cook is also very friendly and prepares tasty meals. arranged vehicles for our next destination. friendly service.

Great property, all good with the rooms, the view outside. Helpful staff and very courteous. living area and kitchen. it gives off a nice vibe, they bring the ingredients for breakfast.
